About event
Accept the invitation to the opening of the Roma Rising exhibition. The exhibition of black and white portrait photographs of American photographer Chad Evans Waytt will be symbolically open to International Roma Day.
📷 The exhibition Roma Rising will present more than 60 personalities from Europe and Canada, which combines Roma origin and social importance, which they have built despite numerous prejudices. This project includes not only known personalities from politics and art, but also the lesser known heroes of everyday life. It will build on previous exhibitions, such as Roma Rising (2004) in the Czech Republic and Roma Rising V4 (2016), focused on the Visegrad Four. Wyatt decided to show numerous Roma personalities who achieved significant success in society and thus helped to contribute to the demolition of stereotypical perception. A partial theme of the exhibition is also the increasing position of Roma women, who actively participate in success in various areas.
