About event

We cordially invite you to the exhibition, which is realized as part of the TIM department, the New Media course in the gallery.

The series of ambient compositions In the Essence of Limbo reveals the intimate spaces that the artist NaiKavols discovered during his walks through the night landscape at three o'clock o'clock in the morning. In the moments
when the country is shrouded in darkness and the world of people is still resting, the author found himself on the border between two realities - the outside world and his own inner universe. It was on these lonely wanderings
that he found love for ambient music, which became for him a means of introspection and a threshold state between waking and dreaming.
Ambient in his presentation is not only music; it is a portal that leads us to the depths of our consciousness, to places hidden beyond the limits of everyday perception.
The exhibition In the Essence of Limbo is a metaphor for life - it is a threshold moment when we are in contact with what lies beyond our routine and expectations. Her ambient tones lead us on the way to ourselves, to a place where we can rest for a while, listen and find harmony in our own presence.
However, NaiKavols also suggests to us that after a quality rest, we must return "home" from this safe space, so that we do not lose our vigilance and stay in this comfort zone forever, even though it is very tempting.

NaiKavols (real name Kristián Mikulovský) is a Slovak artist and producer who, with his music, creates a unique world based on the transformation of voice and atmospheric sounds.
His music moves between genres such as ambient-pop, ethereal-pop, dark wave, synth and art pop and draws inspiration from psychology, mysticism, symbolism and magical aesthetics.

The exhibition organizing team consists of: curator Kristina Gugová, exhibition architect Erik Butora, creators of visual processing David Hanina and Zuzana Trňáková, graphic design Kateřina Hyhlíková
and Monika Štrofová, main technical support Josef Kaplan, artistic technical support Petr Spáčil and Petr Kholl, PR and production Kateřina Machancová, photographer Anna Mecová, video recording by Alisa Zubareva. Expert consultation and author of the exhibition concept Monika Szűcsová.
