Vernisáž výstavy Téměř nic

How is the feeling of emptiness experienced? Is the moment of absence one of the formative moments in life? Are the memories preserved in fleeting impressions that seeped into their eyes, ears or stuck to their skin important to people? Such questions can be asked by the current exhibition Almost Nothing in the UM Gallery.

With the exhibition of the artist, graphic designer and doctoral student of the Ateliér of Letter Creation and Typography Barbora Haplová, the gallery space is transformed into an environment that gives visitors the possibility of placing oneself in unorthodox spatial and sound contexts. As such, the exhibition follows on from the author's long-term creative interest in the sharpened imaginative perception of emptiness and absence, which she developed in her post-master's project Empty Place. Almost nothing can be seen as the next logical step by which the artist deals with all these phenomena in a purely personal way and examines their potential.
