Vernisáž výstavy The Mirror Diary

The title of Lucie Rosická's first solo exhibition (1998) after graduating from the AVU loosely refers to Garrett Hong's book of the same name, in which the mirror serves as a mediator for self-discovery with an overlap into societal reflection. Her embroidered paintings have a long-term autobiographical accent, so it is realistically possible to think of them as a kind of visual diary. It's not just that she openly thematizes the more or less hidden circumstances of her life with them, but also the fact that their main subject from the beginning is almost exclusively her own body.
