About event
how you can still get through life with a skewed foot
Joke Ligtvoet (1931 - 2023), aunt of theater maker and musician Eugène Ligtvoet, has led a colorful and moving life. The writings in her diaries are a rich wealth of personal anecdotes and recognizable stories. They give a special picture of a simple woman who finds her own way by trial and error and who passes the social changes of the twentieth century with humor and perspective.
A special aunt who has become very satisfied with funny life wisdom and loved by everyone. All her life she sang with enthusiasm countless songs she had once heard on the radio.
Her diaries, supplemented with personal memories and the favorite songs of Aunt Joke, form the basis of this story theater performance. Een portret in verhalen en muziek die niemand onberoerd zal laten.
Spel, zang en accordeon: Eugene Ligtvoet
Zang en snaren: Pietr Wolkers
