Vertigo is a band with an original music manuscript, sound and energy that has built a cult position on a jazz audience in 20 years of its work on the music scene.
It consists of six Czech-Slovak players, who contribute to one compact whole and with their unmistakable work. Although saxophonist Marcel Bárta or pianist Vojtěch Procházka, together with them, consists of the unmistakable sound of Vertigo singer and cellist Dorota Barová, trumpeter and singer Oskar Török, double bassist Rastislav Uhrik and drummer Daniel Šoltis. They are all active in many other projects in and beyond jazz. They transformed their experience and genre range into a musical language, in which modern and experimental jazz coexistes with elements of electronic music, acoustic alternatives and song work, which includes insight and joke.
Vertigo holds three jazz angels.
