Discover the cradle of civilization on this trip that can include a beautiful cruise by some of Athens closest islands.
At 08:00, comparison at Humberto Delgado International Airport (Terminal 1, next to the pharmacy). Departure to Athens at 11:00. At 16:55, arrival, landing and beginning of the trip to Athens. Dinner and accommodation at a 4* or similar hotel;
2nd day-to-day. Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to knowing the beauties of Athens. Highlight for the Panathinaiko Stadium, also known as Kalimararo, built in 329 BC. Then we go to Syntagma Square, where we can see the change of guard, in front of the Greek parliament, well known for its typical evzonas costumes. Appreciating the neoclassical beauty of Athens, we will pass through places such as the Faculty of Athens and its library. Finally, we will appreciate the beauty of the acropolis of Athens and its pantheon, UNESCO World Heritage. Dedicated to the goddess Athena, it is the symbol of the civilization of ancient Greece, democracy and classical architecture. Free time to discover the city. Lunch between visits. Dinner and accommodation; Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Delphos region, known for its archaeological site in Mount Parnaso. During the trip, we will pass through the picturesque villages of Livadia and Arahova. Upon arrival in Delphos, visits the Archaeological Site of Delphos, one of the most important of Ancient Greece, home of the famous Oracle of Apollo. This complex includes the majestic Apollo temple, the theater and the stadium, for traditional games. We go to the Delphos Archaeological Museum, where one of the richest artifact collections in ancient Greece. Continuation of the trip to Kalambaka. Lunch between visits. Dinner and accommodation at a 4* or similar hotel;
4th day-kalambaka/meteora/Athens. Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to discovering the city of Kalambaka, famous for being the gateway to the rock formations of Meteora, UNESCO World Heritage. Visit the sacred monastery of the Great Meteor, the largest and oldest, built in the fourteenth century and Monastery of Agios Stefanos, stands out for its peaceful environment and where, today, inhabit the nuns, in Meteora. Continuation to Athens. Lunch between visits. Dinner and accommodation at the Athens Zafolia Hotel Hotel 4* or similar; Breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Athens for personal activities. Dinner and accommodation. Optional: 1 day cruise. Day dedicated to knowing three of the nearest islands of Athens. Let's start with Hydra Island, known for its untouchable beauty and relaxing atmosphere. Free temple to discover the island. Continuation to Poros Island, known for its colorful houses. This small island offers a mixture of tranquility and culture, with traditional taverns and craft stores. From here we go to the last island of our trip, the island of Plan. Here you can prove the delicious pistachios, which this region produces. You can also visit the temple of Afaia, dedicated to the goddess Afaia, the protector of the island. Lunch between visits. Return to Athens; Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for personal activities. At a time to indicate locally, it transfers to Athens airport. At 21:05, departure to Lisbon.
