If you like speeds and sports cars, this trip is for you! In addition to discovering one of the most famous Carnivals in the world, you will visit the museums of two of the most famous Italian car brands in the world!
COMPLETE PROGRAM:
1ST DAY-LISBON/MILAN. At 04:40, show up at Humberto Delgado Airport (Terminal 1, next to the pharmacy). At 07:40, departure on a regular TAP flight to Milan. Arrival at 11:05, disembark and transfer to Arese, at the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo. Lunch at the museum, followed by a guided tour of the museum and its mythical cellars. Opened in 1976, and completely renovated in 2015, the museum shows the history of the legendary Italian brand. Visitors, while admiring the cars, travel through the glorious industrial and sporting history of Alfa Romeo, in a crescendo of emotions, from its beginnings in 1910 to the present day. Return to Milan, the cosmopolitan capital of Italian fashion, to visit Milan Cathedral, also known as Il Duomo, and the Gallerias Vittorio Emmanuelle II. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Golden Mile 2 4* or similar;
2ND DAY-MILAN/PARMA/BOLOGNA. After breakfast at the hotel, we head towards Parma, to visit the historic center, highlighting the Parma Cathedral and its baptistry (external visits). The day continues with a stop at the region's two most famous gastronomic traditions: a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese factory and the Parma ham factory. Lunch between visits. Transfer to Bologna. Dinner and overnight at the Best Western Tower Hotel Bologna 4* or similar;
3RD DAY-BOLOGNA/IMOLA/MARANELLO/VENICE. After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Imola for a brief stop at the Autódromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari and visit to the Ayrton Senna memorial. Return to Bologna and visit the city's historic center, one of the best preserved in the world. Highlights include Malpighi Square, Nettuno Square with its medieval and Renaissance monuments, the Palazzo Comunale and the Basilica of San Petronio. Its University is also mentioned, considered by several historians to be the oldest in Europe (external visits). Visit the Pallazo Boncompagni, a historic Renaissance palace and former residence of Pope Gregory XIII, famous for creating the Gregorian calendar. Highlights include the spiral staircase by Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola, and the frescoes that decorate the main hall. Departure to Maranello. Lunch at the Montana restaurant, where Ferrari F1 drivers have lunch when they visit the Ferrari car factory! In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Ferrari Museum, where competition and elegance intertwine in a single passion for Ferrari that can only be experienced in the world of Cavallino Rampante. We continue to Venice. Dinner and overnight at Voco/Venice Mestre - The Quid 4* or similar;
4TH DAY-VENICE/LISBON. After breakfast at the hotel, departure towards Tronchetto, to board the Vaporetto towards the historic center of Venice. Start of visits to Venice, capital of the Veneto region, famous for its gondolas and the beauty of its bridges along an extensive network of canals, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through St. Mark's Square, designated as "The Most Beautiful Hall in Europe" and where some of the city's most emblematic buildings are located. Visit to Saint Mark's Basilica (external). Passage over one of the oldest bridges in Venice, the Rialto Bridge. Lunch. At a time to be agreed locally, departure to Venice Airport. At 5:50 pm, departure on a regular TAP flight to Lisbon.
