Full Program:
1st dia-lisbon/Funchal. Compaence at Lisbon airport and "check-in" at 4:00 am. At 06:50, departure from Lisbon on the TP 1685 flight to Funchal, where it should be arrived at 08:35. Transfers to Funchal and accommodation at Raga Madeira Hotel 4*. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, Flower Festival parade on Avenida do Mar, to which we will watch with a place sitting on the bench. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.
2nd day-funchal. In the morning, after breakfast, visits to the Funchal Cathedral, one of the most beautiful Portuguese cathedrals, dating back to the early 16th century. Then visit the CR7 Museum. Walk along Avenida do Mar, passing through the Palace of Lourenço and Povo Square having on one side the port and on the other the magnificent natural amphitheater of Funchal. Visit the Old Zone of Funchal, the original core of the city that dates back to the first half of the fifteenth century and is the first city built by Europeans outside the European continent. Starting with the famous farmers market, then Santa Maria Street, already celebrated by its painted doors and comes to the Church of Santa Maria and the Fort of Santiago. Lunch in a local restaurant. Vicente for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, and after lunch, visit the Bom Jesus Sanctuary of Ponta Delgada, a place of annual pilgrimage. In the morning, departure after breakfast for a visit to the east and north of the island, starting by climbing to the peak of the Areeiro, the second highest peak of Madeira with 1885 meters altitude.
