Have the best Christmas ever with us! Christmas Petržalka under the management of the Bratislava-Petržalka district, Petržalka cultural facilities and the Petržalka Library full of fragrant goodies and a rich program is here. 🤩
What awaits us?
The popular Christmas markets on Náměstí Republiky start on Friday, November 28 and will last until Sunday, December 21. We will traditionally start their ceremonial opening with the lighting of the parsley Christmas tree. 🎄 You will certainly not miss the tasty Mayor's punch 🧋 from the head of our municipality, Ján Hrčka, which you will receive with the assistance of the vice-mayors Iveta Jančoková and Ján Karman, with a sweet surprise, absolutely FREE. The great Robo Opatovský and his band will perform as the golden nail of the festive program.
🎵 You can look forward to famous names in the music program for more than three weeks. With their visit to Petržalka, Peter Lipa, František Nedvěd, Meky Žbirka Tribute, Janais, Kochanski Band, Jean Valjean Orchestra and others will also be honored with their visit.
As is customary, Wednesdays will be performances by Petržalka kindergartens, primary art schools and conservatories, as well as folklore ensembles.
Did Petržalčá listen? We have good news for you, 🎅 Santa Claus and his helpers will visit the square exactly on Saturday, December 6 from 3:00 p.m. Before that, however, he will go to the Santa Claus ride, which will start at 10 a.m. in Slnečnice and will continue through Nobelovo, Muchovo and Ovsištské námestie to the Christmas markets, where our little ones can look forward to the theater and sweets.
🎁 Gifts everywhere - this is one of the great novelties from the workshop of the green municipality. All you have to do is buy something tasty (liquid or solid) or something nice as a souvenir at one of our 14 stalls, you will collect stamps from the stall holders for a playing card - one for every €10 - and for the 5 stamps collected you will be able to spin a great gift from our workshop on the Christmas wheel. You can find the Petržalsk gift house directly at the markets from Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 20:00.
This year's novelty will also be shaggy alpacas, which look forward to seeing you every Saturday from 16:00 to 19:00, and a sheep with a goat again on Sundays from 15:00 to 19:00. In addition, children will be able to enter the enclosure and, under supervision, pet and feed all the animals or take pictures with them. 🐐🐑
Young and old visitors will be able to exercise in the snow area, where everyone will enjoy real winter fun. ☃️
Of course, there will be attractions such as a fairy-tale carousel or a consecrated wooden nativity scene. And also a number of accompanying programs led by our colleagues from Petržalka Cultural Facilities and Petržalka Local Library. 😎
The markets will also be attractive and visible with new fairy-tale decoration with lots of lights that will bring a real magical atmosphere to our housing estate. Let yourself be surprised.
