✨🎄 THOMAS HAMPSON'S CHRISTMAS CHARITY CONCERT 🎄 ✨
One of the world's greatest opera personalities is coming to Bratislava - Thomas Hampson, the legendary American baritone. He is the recipient of numerous international awards and nominations for the GRAMMY Awards. He performed on the most prestigious opera stages in the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Wiener Staatsoper and La Scala in Milan.
The proceeds from the concert will be used for the restoration of the historic church of the Order of Malta in the Bratislava Castle - a place where volunteers and members of the order, who help hundreds of people daily in Slovakia, meet for a long time. This church is not only a cultural monument from 1738, but also the quiet heart of the community, from which many charitable activities grow. Its restoration will allow it to continue to be a base for serving people in need.
This unique evening will take place in the mystical atmosphere of St. Martin, one of the most iconic churches in Bratislava 📅 16/12/2025 at 19:30.
In addition to Thomas Hampson, his musical friends - tenor Giulio Putrino and pianist Elitsa Desseva - will also perform. Together they will bring a program composed of beautiful arias and Christmas songs that will create an unforgettable festive atmosphere.

ORDER OF MALTA:
The Sovereign Order of Malta is one of the oldest institutions of Western and Christian civilization and as a lay religious order of the Catholic Church has existed since 1113. Today, as a subject of international law, the Sovereign Order of Malta maintains diplomatic relations with more than 100 states and the European Union and has the status of a permanent observer at the UN. The Order of Malta is neutral, impartial and apolitical.
The Order of Malta is active in 120 countries around the world, where it cares for the needy through health, social and humanitarian work. The wide range of social projects of the Order ensures constant daily support for the forgotten and marginalized members of our society. In addition to its charitable activities in the developed countries of the Western world, the Order is particularly dedicated to helping people who are in the middle of armed conflicts and natural disasters, providing them with health care, helping refugees and carrying out the distribution of medicines and basic survival aids. Throughout the world, the Order of Malta is committed to protecting human dignity and helping those in need, regardless of race or creed. In Slovakia, the Order of Malta carries out its activities through the Embassy of the Order of Malta in the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Association of the Order of Malta, under which Maltese Aid Slovakia also belongs as its executive organization. The main task of Maltese Aid Slovakia is to act according to the motto of the Order of Malta, i.e. to serve the suffering and defend the faith.
Service to the suffering manifests itself mainly in the field of social care and health services, regardless of the religion, race or other affiliation of the person in need. In Slovakia, Maltese Aid has several projects aimed at caring for dependent elderly people (e.g. the project of daily delivery of hot lunches to more than 140 households), socialization and education of the Roma community (e.g. community center in Topolčany), or helping homeless people (regular distribution of warm clothes and material from collections in several Slovak cities). Maltese Aid Slovakia was also one of the first organizations providing aid to people fleeing the war in Ukraine directly at the Vyšné Nemecké border crossing. The management of all official institutions and organizations of the Order of Malta in Slovakia perform their work on the basis of honorary functions. More: www.orderofmalta.sk
