Swedish pop star gives concert in VEGA
Victor Leksell, who is known here for his collaboration with Tobias Rahim, will give a concert in Store VEGA on 11 November with the songs from his brand new album "Tid & Tro".
It's almost an understatement to call Victor Leksell's musical development in recent years for a comet career. Because since he released his first songs in 2018, he has occupied an untouchable place at the top of Swedish-language pop, setting one record after another.
As one of Sweden's leading artists, he headlined Lollapalooza Stockholm and delivered a memorable performance at Denmark's Smukfest in the summer of 2023, Victor Leksell is now finally getting ready for his most ambitious Nordic tour so far in 2024. When he goes on stage at the iconic VEGA in Copenhagen, Victor is armed with his latest album "Tid & Tro." Excited to finally present his own show, Victor looks forward to making a deeper connection with his fans in the intimate setting.
Victor Leksell's recipe for success is classic Swedish. He writes strong, timeless and catchy songs that speak directly to the listener's emotions. Younger generations in particular can relate to his honest and open-hearted lyrics, which offer an alternative to the modern world's volatility, increased tempo and confusing complexity.
2020 was a landmark year, with the big breakthrough hit "Svag" not only dominating the charts in Sweden and Denmark, but also pushed him into the spotlight on the Danish music scene. In June, it was followed up by the debut album "Fånga mig när jag faller", from which 10 out of 11 tracks went directly into the top 50 on Spotify in Sweden. 2020 was also the year in which the young pop star became the first Swedish-language musician to achieve 100 million plays of his songs. As the crowning achievement, he received three Grammys for his debut in 2021, and since then he has, among other things, won two awards at the Swedish P3 Gold.
In January 2024, Victor Leksell's second full-length ”Tid & Tro” was released, which emphasizes his ability to write melodious and personal pop songs with broad appeal. The album also went to number 1 in the home country and was praised in major Swedish media such as Aftonbladet, Nöjesguiden and Götesborg-Posten. "Time & Faith" reflects on Victor's journey since his debut and explores new creative spheres. As he himself says: "The album delves into the endless sleepless nights, a search for identity and the euphoria of discovering happiness within."
The collaboration with Tobias Rahim on the new Danish-Swedish version of "STOR MAN" in 2023 further confirmed his status as a respected artist in Denmark, which was cemented with a concert at last year's Smukfest. This autumn, the Swedish pop star can be experienced again here at home, when he takes over Store VEGA on 11 November with the songs from his powerful new album.
The concert is supported by Liveurope. Liveurope is the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European artists. Liveurope is co-financed by the EU's Creative Europe programme.
