Vienna Pride Tour - QUEERING VIENNA CENTRAL CEMETERY
Event by: Qwien - Verein für queere Kultur und Geschichte
Location: Zentralfriedhof 2.Tor, Vienna - Simmering
About event
Vienna's Central Cemetery has been Vienna's "history book" for 150 years. Here you'll find well-known and famous names, celebrities from the past decades and from our city's more recent history. The Central Cemetery is also a history book of Vienna's queer history!
On our tour through Vienna's Central Cemetery, we'll meet not only well-known personalities but also a few surprises. We'll visit the graves of Eduard van der Nüll, Franz Schubert, Nikolaus Dumba, the Wittgenstein family, Wenzel Graf Gleispach, Marcel Prawy, Engelbert Broda, Johanna Dohnal, Dorothea Neff & Eva Zilcher, Rosa Jochmann, Max Lorenz, and Theodor Körner, Franz Doms, who was murdered during the Nazi era, and the recently deceased Hermes Phettberg.
Are you curious? Then join us for this commemoration of queer 🌈 people at Vienna's Central Cemetery!
