How do the Vietnamese celebrate Christmas and what does Tết mean?
🎄 Join us and let's get to know Vietnamese and Czech holidays and traditions together. 🌸 During this festive event, we will explore whether and how the Vietnamese celebrate Christmas and look into the essence of Tết - the Vietnamese New Year, which is the most important holiday of the year for Vietnamese people. Our event connects elements of both cultures, thereby we want to promote mutual understanding between Czechs and Vietnamese.
🏫 The program involved the projects of Czech university students from the Czech University of Life Sciences, who contributed their perspective and ideas. This event is about connecting different experiences and learning from each other. 🙏
What can you look forward to?
🌟 tasting of Vietnamese traditional dishes during Tết
🌟 tasting of Czech hot punch
🌟 Vietnamese Tết simulation (experience a Vietnamese family gathering during Tết with a Vietnamese guide)
🌟 Vietnamese tea ceremony
🌟 decorating Christmas cookies
🌟 creative DIY activities (e.g. creating your own moss terrarium, Christmas decorations...)
🌟 tombola
📍The event is on Friday 6.12. in the Thimble Museum from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All activities will take place simultaneously with the entire event.
