VIII Benicá Cycle Ride -> Konopiště

About event
The Prague - Benice district invites everyone for a bike ride. Our destination will be the beautiful castle Konopiště. A route full of beautiful views awaits us, a great group and a well-deserved reward at the finish line.
Where are we going and what awaits us? The route measures 34 km and will follow the axis: Benice – Modletice – Velké Popovice – Lojovice – Nespeky – Poříčí nad Sázavou – Konopiště.
Most of the route leads through beautiful nature with amazing views. In the middle of the route, we will take a well-deserved break in the popular bistro Pod lipami in Lojovice.

What to do in Konopišta enjoy?
Common lunch: We will officially end the cycling trip with a common lunch right in Konopiště, to which our district cordially invites you (lunch is free for registered participants).
Visit the castle: After lunch you can visit Konopiště castle individually. The municipal district of Prague - Benice will subsequently reimburse you the entrance fee at the Municipal Office!
How to get back? Everyone can choose the return journey according to their abilities:
Drive just 2 km along the cycle path to the train station in Benešov and return comfortably by train.
Go with a part of the group by bike along your own axis back to Benice.
Important notice on the route:
The approximately 3 km section (from Nespek to Poříčí nad Sázavou) runs along the main road. Weekend traffic tends to be minimal here, but extra caution is necessary.
The final part in the Moon Valley along the Konopišťské stream leads along the red hiking trail. We will encounter several stony passages here (a total of max. a few hundred meters), where it will be necessary to push the bike a little on foot. We're in no rush, we're taking it easy and we're happy to help weaker cyclists with their bikes!
Organizational conditions and registration: Anyone can come to the bike ride without prior notice, but only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shared lunch paid for by the MČ! (Due to capacity reasons in the restaurant).
The event will take place in with a minimum number of 5 registrants until June 9, 2026. Send your registrations to [email protected]
