Magic Garden during the Open Parks and Gardens Weekend 2026
Friday 6/5 | 9:00 – 15:00 → only for schools with a reservation
Saturday 6/6 & Sunday 6/7 | 13:00 – 17:00 → for the public (no reservation needed!)
During the entire weekend you will be able to visit the garden and permanent exhibitions dedicated to the work of Andrej Rudavský, Mária, Ondrej and Jacqueline Rudavský. Guided tours will bring you closer to the story of the place, the artwork of the Rudavský family and the connection of art with the natural environment of the garden.
✳️ SATURDAY JUNE 6
🚸 Guided tours of the permanent exhibitions.
At 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm
30 – 60 minutes
The tours will include conversations with Jacqueline and Ondrej about the work, life and place that they recreate with their own hands.
🌳 Workshop: Demonstrations of arboricultural work
15:00 - 17:00
Practical demonstrations of arboricultural work led by arborist Milan Čavrk. Visitors will learn about: tree planting, basic principles of tree cutting, simple arboricultural interventions carried out from the ground, care of ornamental and fruit trees. The program will also include a practical demonstration of working with a flycatcher and space for questions and discussion.
🎵 Ambient sound performance: ToMo
During the event, an ambient sound performance of the ToMo project will be heard in the garden.

🚸 Commented tours of permanent exhibitions
14:00, 15:00 and 16:00

The tours will include conversations with Jacqueline and Ondrej about work, life and the place they reshape with their own hands.

☕ Coffee will be available during the event for a voluntary contribution. (Until it runs out!)
✳️ Recommended voluntary entrance fee during VOPZ: €5
The contribution helps to support artists and the development of future art events and space.

This year's theme: "Garden eyes"
The theme offers a poetic and expert view of parks and gardens as "living organisms" that tell stories and reveal our relationship with nature. It invites you to look at the garden not only through human eyes, but also to explore what it "sees" and reflects itself.
