On Sunday 7/6/2026 we invite you as part of the XVII. of the Open Parks and Gardens Weekend for a day-long Žilina tour of six parks and gardens, the common feature of which is the vision of the city's residents to improve and beautify the environment where we live.

At the Station, we start with an accompanying program at 4:00 p.m. – drawing in the garden with Urban Sketchers Žilina (you don't have to have any art skills) and from 5:00 p.m. a guided tour of the garden.

The theme of this year is "Eyes of the Garden", so come and enjoy Sunday in an unconventional way and see for yourself how they succeeded. These green oases are maintained by volunteers and are often created in places that have been run down and neglected. Now they are pleasing to the eye and the soul, and the attentive observer will certainly not miss their specifics. In addition, you will hear the story of each of them during the guided tours.

The route is not difficult, but if you want to comfortably reach all the parks and gardens on the map, it is better to use a bicycle. Download the attached map of the gardens below, where, in addition to the exact location of the gardens and the time of the guided tour, you will also find orientation points for stands for shared bicycles. In some of the gardens, we have prepared a short accompanying program for you as a surprise.
