Artistic Performance of Viktor Fuček is part of wider authorship research as metaphors for information flows. The artist examines comprehensive links between physical fluid - water - and invisible data streams. Water is understood as a living medium that creates an important network of cultural and ecological links between the parts of the world, exceeding not only space but also historical time. Performance to share the body of water is a symbolic act where the artist's movements create waves of information and at the same time disrupt the usual mechanism of functioning, thus becoming a conscious gesture of participation in a common ecosystem. Our existence is constructed by comprehensive relationships with mutual dependence and sharing, where it is not clear where the individual ends and the environment or technology begins. Artistic performance creates a new experience that promotes a different form of perception of the ratio between individual and collective, between material and immaterial, natural and technological. The boundaries between man, technology and nature are blurred to highlight the chimeric nature of identity and relationships that are fluid and constantly changing in the stream of information and life forms. Performance, experimental music and spatial design. In his work, it examines the extended body as a concept, from painting to urban structures, where it is layered by biological, cultural, social, political, planetary and universal meanings. His Alma Mater is an Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, but he also studied fine art at the Australian National University in Canberra, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Die Angewandte in Vienna and architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the STU in Bratislava. In 2022, he successfully defended his doctoral research on the topic of internal relationship architecture, focusing on transit zones between architecture and performance. He exhibited at several important events at home and abroad. In 2015 he became the finalist of the Oscar Čepan Award and in 2024 he won the Benhood Foundation Award for a painting at the International Fair of Contemporary Art in Turin. He currently works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and as a researcher and external teacher at the University of Für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna, where he examines the possibilities of facilitating Performance Art.
