About event
Legendary, festive and fiery - the Village People, the favorite band of American presidents, are coming to dance on the Refinery Gallery floor in Bratislava! These six sexy macho men - iconic representatives of the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) - and their musicians changed the world already with their first album in 1978 - forever.
Their melodies, lyrics, body movements and original costumes have been known and loved by everyone since childhood. Hits such as "Y.M.C.A.", "Macho Man", "San Francisco", "Go West", "In The Navy", "Can't Stop the Dance" and more will be performed live in one of the most popular and glittering disco shows in the world.
Their songs have become part of world culture - celebrated on dance floors and stadiums, even aboard Air Force One, where Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden played their favorite song "Y.M.C.A." as a hymn of victory and celebration. Expect a full live concert featuring outstanding musicians and singers - with the energy, humor and showmanship that made the Village People a worldwide phenomenon.
🔥 VH1 ranked "Y.M.C.A." at #7 on the "100 Greatest Dance Songs".
🔥 Paste Magazine named it #1 "Best Dancefloor Classic".
🔥 Rolling Stone ranked it #139 on the "200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time".
🔥 Billboard listed it on the "100 Greatest Jock Jams".
And in 2008, the Village People made the Guinness Book of Records when 40,148 people danced to "Y.M.C.A." during their live performance at the Sun Bowl Festival!
Don't miss it! Experience it! And become part of this exceptional "must-have" event. Because there is only one Village People group - and their music still unites the world.
