About event
The Violino virtuoso concert will transport listeners to a time when the violin became the center of the musical world and when the Italian virtuoso school defined the boundaries of technical perfection while drawing inspiration from the cultural heritage of other nations, led by the exotic appeal of the Iberian Peninsula. The program will bring lively Spanish rhythms and sparkling colors, compositions by the "violin magician" Francesco Maria Veracini, Corelli's iconic La Follia based on a wild Iberian dance or Tartini's legendary Devil's Trill, a sonata surrounded by the myth of the composer's dream in which the devil himself taught him to play the violin...
In the majestic backdrop of the Church of St. Šimon and Judy and accompanied by the OBNI ensemble (Objeto Barroco No Identificado), the Spanish violinist Miriam Hontana sings her instrument, who addresses the audience with a sensitive, distinctive and emotionally charged interpretation and the ability to let the music "speak" - turning technical perfection into a real musical dialogue. This concert will be their first performance in the Czech Republic.
OBNI (Objeto Barroco No Identificado)
Miriam Hontana - baroque violin, art. leader
Ramiro Morales – theorba, baroque guitar
Ismael Campanero – violin
Daniel Oyarzabal – harpsichord
Daniel Garay – percussion
