About event
An unforgettable voice will be heard in the courtyard of the Bratislava Synagogue — Vira Lozinsky & Band straight from Israel.
Vira grew up in Bălţi, Moldova, in a family of Yiddish artists. Yiddish is a living language for her, with which she sings klezmer, tango and Roma melodies at the same time.
Grand Prix winner at the International Jewish Music Competition in Amsterdam and on stages all over the world.
It will be very powerful in the courtyard of the synagogue - that space simply belongs to her. And you will be there with her.
She will be accompanied on stage by four exceptional musicians:
🎹 Yuri Povolotsky — piano · born in Odessa, since 1991 in Israel, graduate of the Gnesin Academy of Music
🪗 Artem Nizhnik — accordion · Ukrainian composer and arranger with doctorate, virtuoso with an overlap in composition
🎻 Pavel Levin — violin · Israeli violinist with a view from classical to klezmer to jazz
🎸 Alex Trepakov — bass · Jerusalem's world-music and jazz scene, projects from folk-fusion to tango
