Visites comentades a l’exposició ‘Ara canto per a mi’

The songs of the Majorales or Pabordesses of the Brotherhood of the Rosary, accompanied by Panderos or square drums, were present in many villages in Catalonia. The drum completely painted with sacred images and garnished with ribbons and rattles is the most significant and spectacular object that has been left of that activity. The Music Museum dedicates an exhibition space to this tradition and, coinciding with the Fiestas de la Mercè and with the open day of the 24th, offers three free guided visits.
