About event
The trio consisting of Ana-Carmen Balestra, Hadewych van Gent and Vitor Noah brings a program full of captivating songs and chamber music from South America, France and Spain in an unconventional cast for voice, cello and guitar.
The Gracias a la vida program was commissioned by four international festivals — Viva Musica!, Wonderfeel, Istanbul Music Festival and Valley of Arts — as part of the EFFEA residency realized under the banner of the European Festival associations.
The concert connects Ana-Carmen Balestra's Argentinian musical roots with classical music, Latin American songs and Victor Santana's spirited arrangements. The program will include works by Astor Piazzolla, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Gabriel Fauré and the iconic Gracias a la vida by Violeta Parra.
The atmospheric concert will take place in the picturesque Garden of the Albrecht House on Kapitulská street.
