About event
To refer to Vladimír Čermák, judge, philosopher, founder of the Department of Political Science at Masaryk University, theater actor, one of the fifteen "Havlov" judges of the Constitutional Court and author of the five-volume monograph The question of democracy, usually means that the person in question has at least an unusual life story behind him. Under his influence, students of the Faculty of Theater became political scientists, members of the Police Protection Service became philosophers, and actors became active members of civil society.
Vladimír Čermák naturally connected various communities. He worked in a number of fields and contributed to each in his unique, "Cermák" way. What was his charisma and what inspires him to this day?
moderator: Martin Kopa, judge of the Regional Court
guests: political philosopher Jiří Baroš, lawyer Jaroslav Brož and judge of the Supreme Administrative Court Vojtěch Šimíček
The program is created in cooperation with the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University on the occasion of the second edition of the book Conversations with Vladimír Čermák: About philosophy, politics and law, which was published by the Center for the Study of Democracy and Culture and Books & Pipes .
