About event
Our project will bring together 30 young participants, aged 16-30, from Slovakia, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, and Ukraine, to develop their skills in civic engagement and media. Through creating podcasts, participants will explore topics on democracy and build connections across borders. We will include team-building activities, expert-led workshops, and steps for podcast planning, production, and editing, ending with a recording for the local community.
In this way ,participants will grow their skills in media, communication, and civic awareness, encouraging them to keep meaningful discussions going through podcasts on streaming platforms and possible future partnerships. We will focus on teaching media and podcasting skills that support active civic participation and democratic values. Key activities will include workshops introducing civic engagement and media, giving a base for podcasting. A hands-on podcasting workshop will improve storytelling, equipment use, and editing skills, while a session on media influence will look at media’s role in democracy and why responsible communication is important. Working in small groups, participants will create and edit 5 podcast episodes with support from facilitators, building technical and communication skills to strengthen their voices on civic issues.
