About event
Prague Impro Room Vol. 4 Ben Tiberia and Czech Rapper Kata bring to Prague to Prague.
The fourth edition of the Prague Impro Room concert series will take place on October 20, 2025 in a private space in the New Town in Prague. This unique evening will present exceptional personalities of contemporary improvised music: American double bassist Ben Tiberia and Czech rapper Kata, frontman of the cult formation Prago Union. Both artists will perform in the evening independently, each in their own music set, in the original context of the series linking improvisation, intermediate work and fine arts. Each edition creates new musical cooperation, sharing know-how and open dialogue between creators and audiences. The evening is inspired by the format of the NPR Tiny Desk series and emphasizes the quality, authenticity and chamber atmosphere. You can look forward to individual performances in the field of jazz, improvisation, alternatives or hip hop. The evening will also include a performance by Ben Tiberia, whose sound language oscillates between jazz, modern improvisation and lyrical depth, as well as a kata whose rap poetics and unique expression belong to the stars of the Czech independent scene. There will be informal debates between individual performances that support the exchange of views and personal meetings with artists. The atmosphere of the evening is enhanced by a scenographically rendered space complemented by the art installation of a selected visual artist who responds to the topics of improvisation and interconnection. We recommend booking in advance. The event is public.
project objectives: Educational and inspirational platform for music students and the general public. Records of all evenings are freely available on the YouTube channel Prague Impro Room. https://www.youtube.com/@prragueimproroom-i3p
