The short texts by the Basel author Adelheid Duvanel (1936–96) are brief, often tragicomic life sketches, fascinating in their shimmer between reality and delusion. They act from mostly lonely, supposedly inconspicuous figures that are on the side in external social life, but lead a rich, even huge inner life. In her world there is the horror of everyday.
with dolls, people, music and moving objects, Dakar production brings an echo of this distinctive cosmos to the stage. In particular, it is important to put the humor of the stories in the light.
