Injuries leave their mark. Disappointment, rejection, coldness, abuse - they all build walls around your heart. You want to forgive. You want to open up. But something inside you resists.
“Just let go,”, they say.
As if it were that easy. As if you didn't know long ago that you should let go.
The question is not if, but how.
You still feel it deep inside you: the longing for closeness. After trust. For a love that heals instead of hurts. After a heart that can feel again without having to protect itself.
