Aylén and Lucio know each other from the world of tango: They met while dancing in Buenos Aires - and quickly realized that they also harmonize perfectly musically. Lucio, a virtuoso guitarist from Buenos Aires, has thrilled his audiences in the city's milongas and with well-known tango orchestras. Aylén, a trained opera singer who lives between Hamburg and Seville, dances tango with as much passion as she sings it.
Together they play tango full of passion and creativity, creating an atmosphere like back when tango was created and European melodies and Latin American rhythm merged into an irresistible mixture. Aylén leads through the program charmingly and with a wink: she translates the texts, tells little anecdotes from the composers' lives and explains traditions of the nightly milongas in Buenos Aires.
The result: an evening full of virtuoso guitar sounds, expressive singing, lively stories - and a rousing pinch of humor.
