About event
The most beautiful Baroque garden is looking forward to your visit. We will walk from Malostranské Square around several interesting buildings of various styles to Karmelitská Street, where we stretch through the inconspicuous entrance of the Vrtbov palace into a hidden but otherwise spectacular Baroque garden. In 1715 it was composed by F. M. Kaňek for the then most powerful man of the Czech Kingdom. On the steep Petřín slope are built terraces fitted with sculptures by M. B. Braun. Sala Terrena is refined with frescoes by V. V. Reiner. Baroque -shaped walls, staircases, fountain and flower beds (and black cat 🙂) together with views of the castle, the church of St. Nicholas and Lesser Town roofs an incredibly impressive whole.
As Jan Werich said - this Baroque is not bad for the eye. In addition, there is also an aviary with exotic birds in accordance with the original intention. And could the Earl of Vrtba see the same? Students and pensioners can deduct a 20 %discount, just enter the coupon code discount
Attention! On the spot it is necessary to buy a ticket to the garden. Price 135 CZK/respectively. 110 CZK (Senior 65+, Student)
Walk is not barrier -free
Guide: Radka Spring
