On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, 131 years will pass from the birth of a talented and exceptional person - photographer, filmmaker and ethnographer Karol Plicka (1894 - 1987). 🌄🎻
🕯️ Master of the nine crafts will be mentioned on this occasion by his collaborators and friends at the memorial event Happy Best, Mr. Plicka! in the Slovak National Museum in Martin - Ethnographic Museum at 4.30 pm
🎙️ The cooperation with the artist will mention ethnographer Mgr. Ä˝uba SĂ˝korová, book graphic artist Peter ÄŽurĂk and daughter of Plick's friend Eugen Lazišťan MUDr. Milena DrĂmalová, CSc. photographer, filmmaker and ethnographer Karol Plicka (1894 - 1987). On this occasion, his co -workers and friends at the commemorative event, Mr. Plicka, will remember the Master of Nine Craft Master on this occasion! In the Slovak National Museum in Martin - Ethnographic Museum at 4.30 pm
For cooperation with the artist, the ethnographer Mgr. Ľuba Sýkorová, who, as a worker of the Slovak National Museum in Martin, stood at the birth of the Karol Plicka Museum. Together with the master, she communicated about the preparation of the exposition, which was open only a year after the death of Karol Plicka.
Another memorial will be the book graphic designer Peter ÄŽurĂk. He cooperated with Karol Plick during his time in the publishing house Osveta in the preparation of the book Karol Plicka: The poet of the picture by the author Martin Slivka. Milena DrĂmalová, CSc., Daughter of photographer Eugen Lazišťan, long -time editor -in -chief of Osveta and personal friend Karol Plicka. The guided tour will take place on Sunday 19 October 2025 at 10.30 and 15.00. in the Ethnographic Museum. You will be guided by the author of the exhibition, curator of the Slovak National Museum in Martin PhDr. Daša Ferklová.
