The Carpathians
🎶 Folklore Dancing-Hopening Program of Small Forms
We invite you to the dance-music program of the Carpathians, which is based on the traditional manifestations of folk culture in selected areas of the Carpathian arch. Due to the spread of pastoral culture from the southern regions of the Carpathians through Transcarpathian Ukraine, Slovakia and Poland to Eastern Moravia and the southeastern tip of Silesia, we find context and common music and dance intersections.
The beauty of singing, archaic musical instruments and older dance layers creates a colorful mosaic and at the same time honor the roots of folk culture. Cultures that have been shaped in the past by exceptional performers, which imprinted it with a distinctive form. Kysučan
Music: Tomáš Janoška, Miklós Király, Jan Rokyta
Choreography: Erik Skrznyai, Barbara skznyai Gyenes, Jan Kysučan, Viliam Mikula
Scene: Tereza Jančová Cooperation: Klára Blažková, Lucie Kaminská, Petr Mička, Jan Rokyta, Petr Unucka
📍 Venue: Reduta Theater, Brno

*** It consists of folk instruments orchestra, a dance group and a girl's choir. Through music, singing and dancing, it presents artistically stylized folklore of the domestic regions of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. It also occasionally processes related regions of Central and Eastern European regions (eg Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine or Romania). In addition to working with folk material, Vus Ondráš also focuses on overlaps to other music-dance genres and forms authorial programs.
