The November program of the Vivat vox organi festival will open with an exclusive concert by the leading Slovak ensemble for early music Solamente Naturali. A selection from the cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. in the Spanodolina church, performed by this unique group. After the concert, visitors will be able to view the finds discovered in the time box of the church tower.

The collection for early music Solamente naturali, whose founders and the artistic director is the excellent violinist Miloš Valent, it was founded in 1995 as a flexible combination of artists of various expertise who wanted to dedicate themselves to the presentation of music from the 17th and 18th centuries. century. Repertoire is paramount and determines the exact composition of the ensemble. So Solamente Naturali is sometimes a trio or septet, sometimes a baroque-type ensemble, performing baroque oratorios with orchestra and choir. Ensemble members have the level of solo players, like to explore unknown territories and take on challenging projects. The specificity of the ensemble results from a unique approach to the interpretation of music of the 17th and 18th centuries. The use of period tools and the search for inspiration in historical documents are essential for them. The main currency of the group is the enthusiasm, creativity and professional approach of its members, accompanied by spontaneity and naturalness - as the name of the group itself reveals. The ensemble's repertoire is rich and, in addition to basic masterpieces by Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, Purcell, Scarlatti, Lully and Rameau, it also offers unknown and rare works of Slovak provenance.

This time, the ensemble presents Bach's cantata BWV 60 (O Ewigkeit, du Donnerwort) and cantata BWV 81 (Jesus, schläft, was soll ich hoffen?). Two Bach works will be combined with the music of Matthias Weckmann.
After the concert, visitors will be able to view the exhibition of found artifacts from the time capsule of the church tower. The upper part of the tower with the cross was damaged by a strong storm. A time box from the mid-19th century was found in the broken off part of the tower, containing historical documents and coins.
