About event
GHIRLANDA SACRA
Italian Baroque music for two soprano, two violins, violu da gamba and basso contino in a church immersed in darkness, in the light of the candle 🤩
The first half of the 17th century reflects a period full of changes and talk about it as a transition from the Renaissance. The polyphony, which was the first place in the Renaissance, retreats into the background, although it is constantly present as a compositional technique that the composers have constantly used. However, the Baroque is slowly entering the scene, with its unmistakable expressiveness, subjective expression and representation of emotions. It was often not enough polyphony to do so, so the authors gradually invented the monodium, ie unanimous feasation of the text. Polyphonic rules have enriched with other expressive possibilities, just for the purpose of highlighting the singing text. The period in which we nest is characterized by unmistakable richness in musical moods and innovative combinations of singing with tools. The works of Dario Castella, Biaggio Marini - two authors who collaborated with the famous Monteverdi - will be heard. Furthermore, the music of Tarquinia Merulu, as well as German authors, such as little -known Nicolaus Kempis, or composer, who also worked Pressburg, today's Bratislava - Samuel Capricornus will be heard. Their instrumental music was often influenced by the Italian.
