Vycházka po stopách Rainera M. Rilkeho (Hradčany)

The Malostranský Cemetery Association invites you to the second walk from the cycle "Two years with Rilka". Rainer Maria Rilke is considered one of the greatest lyrics of the 20th century, and the largest German -language poet born in Prague. In the Malostranský cemetery was originally buried by his grandfather Johann Rilke († 1853), later transferred to the family tomb in Olšany. After the first thematic walk around the Lower Nové Město and the Old Town, dedicated to places related to his birth, childhood and studio, we would like to focus on the Hradčans and Mala Strana, which he writes not only in his collection Larenopfer/Victim of Lára (ie Home Boys), but also in his prose Zwei Prager Geschichten/two Prague stories. In addition to period photographs, there will be a walk, which will be led by the cultural officer of the Gabriela Kalinová association, an expert in Prague's German literature and curator of the Kafkaorte exhibition, also accompanied by citation of poems and prose directly devoted to the places in question.
