The travel festival "Cestou necetu" will be held in Levoča for the first time! Come and listen to travel experiences in two hot countries from opposite ends of the world: Australia and Uganda. Samo Gibala and Silvia Kočková will present.
18:00 SAMO GIBALA- AUSTRALIA: A COUNTRY WHERE EVERYTHING WANTS TO KILL YOU (BUT IT'S WORTH IT)
Samo Gibala is a scout , ski alpinist, climber and founder of Levočské Amfik, who irregularly sets out for adventure or for work (if he is paid for it). He likes to travel and even more likes to talk about it. In his presentation, he will present his experiences from a 3-month trip around Australia. From west to east, from kangaroos to sharks, from the remote wilderness to the biggest cities. When it's winter in Europe, Australia offers endless possibilities for enjoyment, whatever you're looking for. We will look at the Sydney Opera House, but also 30 meters below the surface of the ocean.
19:15 SILVIA KOČKOVÁ- UGANDA: THE LAND OF SUNNY SMILES
Silvia Kočková studied screenwriting in London and after a year of working life in a corporation, she decided to get to know life and the world and traveled to Uganda for a six-month volunteer stay, where she cared for HIV-positive people children. The task of the presentation is to introduce the Slovak audience to life in Uganda, to introduce the political system, healthcare, education, but also everyday life and gastronomy. Life in Uganda is really not easy and maybe that is why Uganda offers many life lessons that can inspire us.
