VÝROČNÍ AKCE: Vyšehrad Karla IV.

The sixth year of the historical annual event organized by the NKP Vyšehrad in cooperation with leading Czech clubs and associations of friends of military history. This year's theme is a commemorative anniversary of 670 years after the coronation of Charles IV. Roman Emperor (5th 4th 1355). Charles IV. became the first Czech ruler to achieve the rank of Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. At the same time, from his Roman coronation rides brought a fragment of a stone altar from PiSa, on which St. Peter served his first Mass on the Apennine Peninsula, and donated it to the Basilica of Vyšehrad. He thus confirmed the symbolic bond of Vyšehrad with Rome, which was founded by the founding of the Vyšehrad Chapter and the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul were followed by the first Czech King Vratislav in 1070. The event itself and the main program are free of charge. 15:00 Arrival of Emperor Charles IV.
