About event
MICHAELA SYROVÁ loves to look at the world. She studied the history and theory of visual arts, while always creating her own visual works. She is mainly dedicated to conveying art and culture to children and young people, she tries to support and expand their creative abilities, to see and understand what she sees.
Besides her teaching activities, she is passionate about watercolor painting. Watercolor paintings are created almost from nothing. Just paper, a little water and a little color pigment. Layers of color overlap on the paper, creating new variations of colors and surfaces that resemble something specific. This "almost nothing"... still captures the ephemerality of our lives and the world. Watercolor paintings are delicate and fragile like life.
Within the exhibition collection, the paintings depict various real places with the author's own unique vision and experience of the moment. The paintings capture open landscapes and urban motifs from the very nearby region - Modry and Pezinka, but also from more distant corners of Europe.

The author's exhibition of paintings by Michaela Syrová "I just watch" in Kaštiela v Modra is open to the public from November 8 to 30, 2024, during visiting hours from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The exhibition will be open during Open Cellars Day 2024 on Friday, November 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the presence of the author.
