VÝSTAVA - autorská kolekcia filigránových šperkov JUXTAPOSITION - Silvia Gálová

We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition
Silvia Gálová - Juxtaposition (10.9. Juxtaposition refers to a series of deliberately created contrasts that stand in the core
This collection:

structures. She is interested in the tension between the materials - a massive silver
casting and a fragile silver wire. It creates objects that not only connect these opposites,
but turn them into visual and technical dialogue. The collection thus opens up space for new
Philigora interpretations in the context of contemporary design. Some objects were modeled by hand from wax, making
created more organic and more intimate forms with the expression of the author's hand. Others were designed digital in
3D environments (eg using Grasshopper software), which gives them a precise, parametric
geometry. Hollow or semi -open structures cast into silver are then manually filled with
filigree - fine "wire lace". It requires precise planning, craftsmanship and a sense of material, in
whose silver wire "draws" into the mass and creates a new visual language in which the tradition
encounters technology. Contrast dialogue - old and new, massive and subtle, planar and spatial, manual and
digital. The collection examines the possibilities of a combination of fine filigree filling with robust shapes,
which are created either by hand -modeled wax forms, or digital 3D/modeling using software like Grasshopper. These models are cast into silver
Lost wax technique and subsequently supplemented by filigree, creating a unique visual
and technical dialogue between craft tradition and digital innovation.
