About event
Our world is changing rapidly, and this change is currently being accelerated and exacerbated by national and global challenges that we urgently need to address. In this context, it is necessary to find new solutions. We need to do more than just create a better version of what already exists. We need to build a new reality.
It is increasingly necessary to move beyond ideas about design and see this field as an incredibly dynamic driver of change that has the potential to impact our lives on many levels and in many different ways. To understand design as an activity that is the basis of all material and thought manifestations that we use for human well-being and development.
When we talk about design, we implicitly talk about added value from a set of identified needs. These needs are met with solutions ranging from products to systems. Design is a discipline that addresses the economic, social and climate change challenges we face. As a people-centered, problem-solving discipline, design works through creative thinking to get to the root of the problem in its wider context, focusing on solving the cause, not just the symptom.
For this exhibition, projects have been selected by several designers who have an important position within the contemporary Spanish design scene.
Thanks to their worldview and the values they defend and represent, their creative process contributes to building a new, more sustainable and a more inclusive reality. In short, to reality more human and with commitment. we must approach with urgency. In this context, the need to find new solutions and criticism. Debemos hacer más que simplemente una mejor versión de lo que ya existe, debemos construir una nueva realidad.
Cada vez se hace más imperioso trascender las ideas del diseño para comprender la discipline como un agente de cambio, incredibly dynamic, con el potencial de influence en nuestras vidas a varios nivels y de muchas differentes formas. Entender el diseño como actividad subyacente a todas las manifestaciones materiales y mentales que empleamos para el bienestar y el desarrollo humano.
When we talk about design, we implicitly talk about adding value and partir de una serie de necessidades identificadas. Estas necessidades buscan respuesta con solutions que van desde productos, hasta sistemas. El diseño es una discipline que aborda los desafícios economiques, sociales y ambientales a los cuales nos enfrentamos.
y no solamente el sintoma.
For this project, 12 designers from the contemporary Spanish scene have been selected. Su mirada hacia el mundo y los valores que defienden y representan hacen que su práctica creativa contribuya a construir una nueva realidad más sustainable e inclusiva. Sus procesos artesanales, los materiales que utilizan y el discurso artístico que tienen, participan de una realidad más humana y comprometida.
