About event
📍 Náplavka, Rašín nábřeží
📅 18th July - August 15, 2025
📢 The opening ceremony: Thursday - 24th July at 17:00
What do the lives of those who were silenced just because they expressed their opinion?
We invite you to an exhibition on political prisoners from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, which we have prepared in cooperation with the organizations of People in Need, Prague Civil Center and Gulag.cz.
You can see well -known and lesser -known stories of Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian political prisoners on Rašínovo nábřeží in Prague from Friday 18 July to Friday 15th August. Some of them are already freedom, others are further held in inhuman conditions.
Stories that you can read and view at the exhibition belong to specific people - Nariman, Ljudmyle, Iryn, Maryji, Volga, Arsenij and Naděždě. They are names that deserve to be heard. Each of them became a symbol of courage and human dignity in the dark time. However, hundreds of other men, women and young people remain behind bars - just because they spoke and wanted to live in freedom.
Czech diplomacy has long been building the protection of human rights and the support of political prisoners among its main priorities. #Zamrizemirezimu
