About event
When we travel, we have the opportunity to see the world differently. Especially for us Mediterraneans, the sea is always a captivating element and we can't get enough of it. Its noise, smell, haze and power engulf us and we don't even want to resist it.
The exhibition of Tamara Rusnáková's photographs is called Extended Summer. It was created as a "working title" for the author's few sabbatical months, which she literally extended her summer, when she traveled to the Canary Islands at the beginning of September 2024. Many of her photos were taken there, a selection of which (12 photos) can be seen in this exhibition.
Tamara Rusnáková (1997) comes from Herlian. He has been involved in photography since he was twelve years old, starting with a family compact camera. She found her first camera of her own under the Christmas tree a few years later. In her high school graduation year, she discovered an analog camera in her grandparents' attic, put it on a shelf and gradually gathered the courage to start taking pictures with it. Tamara's creative process consists of walking and marveling in order to reach her personal recipe of satisfaction through a circuit, through all distances, including the focal point. "I have to move and go after what amazes me", he says. Tamara is a graduate of the Department of Marketing Communication, Faculty of Philosophy, Comenius University. This exhibition is her second public presentation.
