▪️ Did the photographer Eva Fuková strive to withdraw from the shadow of her husband, the artist Vladimír Fuka? How did she deal with emigration to the United States of America and how did she react to her work? Come to listen to the last lecture of the second year of the series have come out of the shadow. Historically, women became artists in the shadow of their male colleagues, in many countries they were forbidden to study at art academies and their artistic emancipation used to be thorny. Our cycle will again introduce you to a varied mix of portraits of Czech and Czechoslovak artists - painters, sculptors, illustrators, architects and dyzajnérk, in which we will deal with their arts, but also the context of the time and environment in which they lived and worked. The aim of the lecture cycle is not the first adoration of women artists, much rather repayment of a certain debt in the public awareness of their art work.
