Vystoupily ze stínu: Alena Šrámková

▪️ The second architect, whose projects and fate we will meet, is Alena Šrámková. She, too, worked on several buildings in Tandem with her husband, but she never stayed in his shadow. We will see together. Historically, women became artists in the shadow of their male colleagues, in many countries they were forbidden to study at art academies and their artistic emancipation used to be thorny. Our cycle will again introduce you to a varied mix of portraits of Czech and Czechoslovak artists - painters, sculptors, illustrators, architects and dyzajnérk, in which we will deal with their arts, but also the context of the time and environment in which they lived and worked. The aim of the lecture cycle is not the first adoration of women artists, much rather repayment of a certain debt in the public awareness of their art work.
