About event

We would like to invite you to the course Use of digital tools in environmental research, which is intended for secondary school teachers, teachers of secondary schools, secondary schools and upper secondary schools.

The course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out environmental research using digital technologies. Participants will learn to measure various environmental parameters (measurement of atmospheric conditions, air quality, water quality and soil parameters), process and analyze the data and present the results. The course is designed so that participants can immediately apply their new skills in practice and further develop their digital competences.

Technological equipment: Sensors for measuring temperature, pressure, humidity, ozone, dust, TDS, conductivity and pH. (The lecturer will provide the necessary sensors to the course participants.) The course will require a GPS device for measuring localization (GPS sensors can be provided to the participants by the lecturer, participants can use their own mobile phones for this purpose.).

We also ask participants to download a program for data collection and analysis (SPARKvue or Capstone - a sufficient trial version can be downloaded for free here: https://www.pasco.com/downloads). During the course, we will work in text editors for creating laboratory protocols (Word, Google Docs), and you must have presentation software on your laptop for presenting results (for example, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi).
