Vzdor básníků

The screening of the documentary film directed by Bertrand Schmitt and Pierre-André Sauvageot (2012), on the occasion of the publication of a new issue of the collection Literární archiv dedicated to Jan Vladislav, will be presented by Bertrand Schmitt. Jan Vladislav and Prokop Voskovec. In interviews with French documentarians, they return to how they personally experienced the historical milestones of the former Czechoslovakia: the post-war period, the coming of the communists to power, the oppressive 1950s, the Prague Spring, Charter 77 and the forced exile to France. Their view of dissent and samizdat gives us a glimpse of a reality that is both horrible and absurd - the reality of everyday life in a totalitarian regime. Interviews are accompanied by archival footage, linked with original, dream-like scenes.
