Havelhöhenweg hike

About event
The Havelhöhenweg is very scenic and has a total length of around 16km. It starts in the north at the Pichelsberg S-Bahn station (S3 or S9), follows the course of the Havel via the Grunewaldturm and the Wannsee lido to the Nikolassee S-Bahn station (S1 and S7).
The Grunewaldturm is open daily from 11 a.m., so you can stop there for a lunch break about halfway along the route and also visit the tower itself can (chargeable). An advantage of the route is that you have several options to use bus 218 if necessary (runs every hour). It stops directly at the Grunewald Tower, after which the two routes run largely parallel, so that it is relatively easy to switch to the bus on the second section if necessary.
The first section is initially flat and runs at Havel level, then climbs slowly or over individual short sections to the Grunewald Tower. Afterwards, ascents and descents alternate and you are mostly well above the Havel level - with a corresponding view. In addition to managing the differences in height, a certain level of surefootedness is also necessary. That's why we offer the hike in 2 variants: to Grunewaldturm or the entire route.
