What does a multipolar world order mean in the fight against imperialism?
The new security strategy recently presented by the USA is the latest evidence of the rapidly and contradictorily developing international balance of power. Contrary to the noise from across the Atlantic and the moralistic answers from Europe, the background to the development is the emergence of a multipolar world. The “values West” or the NATO states see themselves as being challenged by the BRICS alliance with China and Russia as the strongest partners. The emergence of economic and military alternatives to the former colonial countries is welcomed in many countries in the global south and used as an opportunity for sovereign development.
This means that the previously dominant states worldwide face equal competition. This is being fought on an economic, political and diplomatic level, but increasingly also on a military level. This is the driving force of the rapidly escalating international contradictions, which also increase the danger of war. Despite German imperialism's inclusion in the preparations for war against Russia and China, we are witnessing increasing tensions between the imperialist states. We see this clearly in the relationship between the USA and Germany, but also within the EU.
We want to discuss these developments with representatives of the embassies of China, Cuba and Vietnam:
The People's Republic of China is the engine of the multipolar world. What interest does China have in changing the world order?
For more than 60 years, Cuba has been subject to a US blockade that violates international law. What hopes does the country have with BRICS?
Vietnam was able to free itself from US imperialism 50 years ago. What challenges do the liberation movements face today?
Look forward to lively discussions.
