The exhibition Waterways shows three acclaimed projects by Tommaso Protti, Mustafa Bilge Satkın and Ana Elisa Sotelo. The exhibition bridges different approaches to waters and their means for self empowerment against the backdrop of global political and environmental challenges.

The project Women of the Water by Ana Elisa Sotelo is an ongoing collaborative photography project that explores liberty and liberation of women. The series was born at the end of the world, in Puerto Natales, Chile, in 2022 and has expanded to different bodies of water in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Barbados and the United States.

Tracing the most perilous migration routes in the world, The Path by Tommaso Protti documents the intersecting social and environmental crises that lead to people’s displacement, following the footsteps of thousands of migrants from Colombia to the U.S.–Mexico border.

In In the Shadows of Noah Mustafa Bilge Satkın explores his personal connection to Northern Mesopotamia, where the Euphrates and Tigris rivers converge. As a child, the photographer was exposed to narratives of displacement, particularly those resulting from the construction of the Keban Dam. These early experiences shaped his understanding of the significant and lasting impacts of human intervention on communities and the environment.
