We invite you to the webinar Sustainable eating in the school canteen, where we will focus on practical ways in which we can improve the sustainability of our children's diet and support ecological behavior in school canteens.
We will explain:
The carbon footprint of food: How the choice of different types of food affects the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and what are the simple steps to reduce this footprint.
The origin of food and the importance of local food: Why it is the importance of supporting local producers and how this can help us reduce our carbon footprint.
Food Pyramid vs. Environmental Impact Pyramid: How healthy eating and the environmental impacts of different foods differ in perspective, and how to find a balance.
Food waste: Specific tips for minimizing food waste in schools and homes.
Eco-labels on food: How to know about different certificates and brands that can help us choose more sustainable products.
The problem with palm oil and its connection with climate change: Why it is important to avoid palm oil and what alternatives we can look for.
